The Caiman 5mm Vessel Sealer is designed for a variety of laparoscopic and open procedures and can accommodate a wide range of patient sizes.

The 12cm and 24cm Caiman handpieces WILL fit in the chamber of your Sterlink low-temperature sterilizer.  The 36cm and 44cm will NOT.

Benefits

Longest Jaw
Caiman 5 has a 26.5 mm sealing length and the longest jaw of any 5 mm RF device available, allowing for heightened efficiency for laparoscopic procedures. The 26.5 mm jaw allows veterinary surgeons to seal and cut 30% more tissue at a time compared to other 5 mm vessel sealing devices.

Uniform Tissue Compression
Caiman Vessel Sealers feature a proprietary hinged jaw. The lower jaw hinge causes the tip of the instrument to close first, capturing tissue and preventing slippage. This unique design then allows the upper and lower jaws to compress tissue in parallel, creating uniform compression forces distal to proximal. The result is a secure and consistent seal surgeons can rely on.

Description

Caiman Vessel Sealing 5mm Instruments by Aesculap feature a 26.5mm sealing length and 23.5mm cutting length – one third longer than any other vessel sealer on the market.  All Caiman vessel sealing devices are FDA approved to coagulate and cut vessels up to 7mm in diameter. The shaft of the instrument is designed in 24 cm, 36 cm and 44 cm lengths.  Many veterinary practices using EtO gas sterilization have found the equipment to be long lasting and affordable for every day use. The hinged jaw and tip-first closure facilitates capturing large amounts of tissue quickly and efficiently for coagulation and cutting.
